The Chamber regularly disseminates information so as to keep the members update regarding changes in Government policies and procedures as well as latest trends in the economy.
The Chamber provides a crucial link between members and Government authorities both at Central and State levels by submitting memorandum/representations on major' policies of the Government (e,g. Union and State Budgets) It also takes up problems of individual members with the appropriate authorities for redressal.
The Chamber is represented through its nominees in a number of public bodies and takes active part in their deliberations. These include the State Export Promotion Council, Regional Direct Taxes Advisory Committee, WBIDC. Divisional Railway User's Consultative Committee, etc.
The Chamber regularly issues circulars on important issues, trends and developments in business and the economy.
The Chamber has a well-equipped air-conditioned Conference Room and two air- conditioned halls which are available for members for holding meetings, exhibitions, etc. on payment of a nominal usage fee.
Calcutta Chamber of Commerce is officially authorized by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India to issue Certificate of Origin ( Non-Preferential) in respect of goods exported from India. It also attests Export Documents like Invoices, Packing List, Declaration, etc. as required by the applicant for facilitating their trade activities.
Authentication / attestation fee is accepted in cash only.
The charges for authentication / attestation of documents are as under:

Calcutta Chamber of Commerce issues recommendation letters to member companies for issue of visa for business promotion visits to foreign countries. Calcutta Chamber has been advised to obtain certain basic information before issuing the recommendation letters for issuance of visa. Member companies desirous of obtaining recommendation letters for issue of visa are requested to furnish the following information to Calcutta Chamber at the time of applying.
